New lawns on prepared topsoil, from back gardens to school fields, and artificial grass where real grass will not grow.
We strip the old grass and the top few inches of soil, bring in screened topsoil, level and firm it, and lay turf. In Finchampstead we laid 500 square metres of Medallion turf in one go. In Maidenhead we reinstated a school playing field after taking out around 40 tonnes of woodchip and subsoil, and seeded it with a shade mix because most of the area sat under trees.
Artificial grass suits lawns that get heavy use from children and dogs, deep shade, or anyone who does not want to mow. We lay it on a compacted sub-base with a weed membrane and fit it tight to edges and paving.
