We build pergolas in oak or painted timber, open, slatted or roofed, with lighting and heaters wired in. We have built them over dining areas, with a hanging swing, and as the frame for an outdoor kitchen.

Decking goes on a proper substructure with ventilation underneath. Composite boards do not need oiling; timber costs less and needs treating every year or two.

Outdoor kitchens are built around how you cook: a brick or rendered base, a stone or porcelain worktop, space for a barbecue or pizza oven, storage and lighting. We tie it into the patio and the rest of the garden.

Several recent Berkshire projects combine a porcelain patio, an oak pergola and an outdoor kitchen with lighting.
